Poll Display

I'm just beggining to use Liferay and the most common problem I keep boumping into is configuring portlets, because there seems to be no information on how to do it besides trial and error (Am I wrong?)

I want to change the color of the text on the display of a poll in which I have voted. I tried the "look an feel option" but that only configures the text before I vote and not the one after the vote.
