How can i take the Content backup(archive format) in Journal portlet.

Hai to everyone.

i got a requirement like,i want to take the backup of Journal article content in Journal portlet.How can i achieve this.

i found Archived tab in Configuration of Journal portlet. but i wont archive the content of journal content.

How can i achieve this.is any other solution for this.your suggestions are always appreciated.

You can try using the LAR files.

They are found in the 'Export/Import' tab in the 'Configuration' of the Journal Portlet.

Go to the 'Export' tab and make sure you have a check mark next to all the things you want to save.
Name the LAR file anything you want just make sure the {name} .portlet.lar is at the end of the name.
Then click 'Export'. Save that file that it creates somewhere that you could easily access it.

To recall the data go to the 'Import' tab and use the Browse button to find the LAR file that you saved and
click 'Import'. It should save your data in these files.

Thanks for your reply.you solution will work for to take the backup of whole articles in Journal portlet.

But i need only old vesrion(old version journal articles) content need to be archived.Latest article should not be get archived.

how can i achieve the above solution.

Why archive tab is used in Liferay 5.1.2 and 5.2, because it is taking Portlet Id not containg page,

if we delete article, we can't restore that article.

if i have to use LAR, why this features is provided.
