Users cannot access their public or private pages

I am using Liferay 5.1.2. Currently the user is able to log in but once I click on any page within any community, no page is loaded and browser shows an error.

I noticed that whenever I navigate to any page the url is changed from IP address to localhost. Once I change it back to IP address in the browser It works. Any idea why liferay is changing the url to localhost.

This is some what similar to my problem but no solution except to upgrade to 5.2
