"Request Entity Too Large" Error from Marketplace
New Member Postagens: 2 Data de Entrada: 07/01/13 Postagens Recentes
Hi,
I have tried to download the Google Adsense for CE app, and I keep getting:
Request Entity Too Large
The requested resource
/widget/web/guest/mpserver
does not allow request data with POST requests, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit.
Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) Server at mp.liferay.com Port 80
Why is this, and how can I resolve this?
Stevod

Hey Stevod,
Which browser and OS (and which versions) are you using? Can you try with a different browser? Because it sounds like an issue related to that.

Many thanks for all the responses.
i have tried the download again this morning, using Firefox, rather than Chrome, and it has worked this time.
Whether that is due to the change in browser, or a change on the back end server conditions isn't clear, but it is resolved.
The open source community comes to the rescue again!
Regards,
Dave

Tested with Liferay 6.1.1, Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 20 on Windows 7 on several portals.
How can i solve it?

Hi David,
We once experienced this because an EIP added its own big cookie.
Liferay also has some and Google Adsense throws in the rest.
All mounting up in a too big request.
From the top of my head its solvable by allowing a larger request size in Apache
