Hey Yun Zhao

Go to the settings > General tab, and change the virtual host.

Hi,

I use an alternate port (other than 8080). How can I set the value to $PORTAL_URL? Liferay does not allow me to enter port value.

Hi

In Settings > General > Virtual Host, the system will not allow anything other than a FQDN like www.liferay.com.. if you try www.liferay.com/somePath it will not accept it. Anyone has a solution yet? I did not deploy at root context and I want to be able to change the value of $PORTAL_URL$ to something meaningful for the non-root context.

I see a bug report which seems to be related, filed at 14/Sep/09, http://issues.liferay.com/browse/LPS-4959

Best Regards
Kyriacos

We have multiple Liferay instances installed for things like dev testing, business partner testing, QA, etc. They all have different virtual host names, like test6.xxx.com and it won't accept this as valid host names, it says Please enter a valid host name. Any idea how to get this to work yet?

I have found that if I remove the # from the virtual host, and use test.xxx.com, then it will accept it. But, I need to be able to use a number in the virtual host.

thanks!
