SO Public Pages are disabled?

Why my admin is not able to use "Public Pages", from Control Panel "My Pages" > "Public Pages"

try to access this function I have an error "You do not have the required permissions"

There are no visible pages in Social Office 1.5b without logging in first.

In 1.0b the pages were exposed, but there were compelling cases to hide these pages from unauthenticated users. However, any logged in user can view pages of any public sites.

Hi.
I'm using social office 1.5b. i want to add a new page and modified the menu using control panel > my pages. but its show an error when i try to add a new page an the error show this ->You do not have the required permissions. . so how could i repair the error?? reply me ASAP. plz.

I'm editing this because Ive read posts that this ability is being removed for usability purposes. I think an Admin should have the right to do these things.

Hi Julia,

We're slowly reintroducing some of these administrative functionality.

Though we haven't introduced managing the pages themselves, we've made it so that the applications that appear on a users page can be defined in a properties file.

You can even allow users to change their own page as they see the need, or restrict it to a certain set of applications and layout. I think this offers the flexibility that most want (you can even deploy your own apps) while still focusing on some of Social Offices goals.
