Liferay6.2:How to customize which portlets to show in Add without edit page

I don't want user with my custom role to see Edit Page in 6.2 (themes, layouts & other sections under ). Can somebody point out whether this can be done with permissions

Mapping to Edit Page in 6.2 to 6.1 is Manage (my custom role in 6.1 seeing Page, Page Layout,Page Customizations) at dock bar level.

Any pointers are much welcome

I think that you're talking about just the regular user and/or power user role. They cannot edit pages at all (well, except for their own public/private pages).

Admins (site admins, org admins, portal admins) get the edit page tools, as well they should.

I have a custom regular role some thing like Customizer, I am trying to assign permissions to this role to make users with this role to add certain portlets I gave access to.

Users w/ this role should not have other edit page tools.

With update permission at page level as per referred link in my post, we will see edit options. As I have a custom theme, I tried changing the behavior to not show for my custom role using Hook.
