Using Liferay Community Edition for Commercial Purpose

Hi,

I am planning to use Liferay Community Edition for Commercial Purpose. Since its LGPL (Lesser General Public License) I would like to know the dos and don’ts of the same. Any pointers for understanding this will be good.

It is really up to the owner of the project, if they need some legal/formal letter/contract of support they should go for EE.
In most cases government organisations and larger companies would want this.

Otherwise CE will provide all functionality you need, you may even have a faster resolution of any issues should they arise.

Shall we do all sort of modification in community edition too and then sell it commercially?

I mean using hook or ext changing post login or pre login or any other core Liferay functionality ? Is it acceptable ?
