Hi Friends,
I am trying to hide the portlet borders programmatically or by property.
I have tried the following in portlet.xml but its not working. I am on liferay 6.1 release
<portlet-info>
<title>blah</title>
<short-title>blah</short-title>
<keywords>blah</keywords>
</portlet-info>
<portlet-preferences>
<preference>
<name>portlet-setup-show-borders</name>
<value>false</value>
</preference>
</portlet-preferences>
<security-role-ref>
Thanks
LD

You could always override the CSS value if that property is not working.

I think this was changed to a new camelcase version in 6.1 using the key portletSetupShowBorders

Did not know that but I think you're right! I just used it the other day in a resource importer definition and I specified it using camel case and it did work. I retract my gross CSS suggestion
