Displaying only the latest version of document to the user

I want to know if there is any way so that only the latest version of document will be displayed to the user in document and media portlet??

Do you want to turn off document versioning ?

Yes i dont want other versions to be displayed to users

I don't see any configuration available to disable and enable document version. If you only want to keep only one version then delete existing versions while uploading new one.
