Hi there,

we got a microsoft sharepoint server running.
On this we have many many files and folders. all great.
But now we are planing to integrate liferay in our intranet. Works great. Looks fine.
But how can we manage to get bot liferay and sharepoint work together?

What i want:
get all files list from sharepoint within liferay. (the document libray looks good, but how can i make this point to our sharepoint server))

i found this 2 lines in docs:
1
2sharepoint.storage.tokens=document_library

and
1sharepoint.storage.class[document_library]=com.liferay.portlet.documentlibrary.sharepoint.DLSharepointStorageImpl

can anyone help me?

thx alot!

Liferay can act as SharePoint Server for MS Office but there isn't any OOTB connector to SharePoint. I'm not sure of SharePoint support WSRP if it does then that could be one way to integrate Liferay and SharePoint. It all really depends on what you need.

Hi there
One simple way of solving this if your intention is to only read the documents and not have any requirement for editing. Then you can use the xml/xsl portlet and subscribe to the Document library rss for the view you like to read from. The RSS also includes all you meta data column so you got most of the information you need.

If you like to cheat a bit you can also use the Sharepoint default xsl to be up in no time

Ulf,

Thank you for the hints.
I wonder what would be the best way for Liferay-Sharepoint integration.
One scenario is to have Sharepoint as a central place and point its search engine to Liferay's Wiki and Document Library (other assets?)

But there could be some other/better scenarios.
Ulf, what would you recommend?
Anyone who works in this integrated environment, please share your experience.

Thank you!

Jeff

Hi Jeff
Sharepoint provides world class document mgmt. according to me. So if you have Sharepoint in your infrastructure it can be a good idea to use it for that purpose. About search engines, I haven't got any experience in Sharepoint search engine and how to integrate it to other systems, but your suggestion can of course be a solution. There are also loas of othere search engines in the market that probably can integrate with both environments.

Maybe someone hace tried the WSRP portlet to integrate the environments

Hi Jeff,

I was wondering what your final approach was to integrating SharePoint within Liferay? We are looking to do the same here and wanted to hear if you were successful and what you approach was.

Thanks!
Sarah
