Activiti Workflow

Hi Guys
I have a weird scenario,
I have case where i have a custom portlet for managing documents,
I have a workflow in place to take care of documents but my documents are categorized e.g Invoices, cheque e.t.c,
So when i added a document of category Invoice to use different workflow from category cheques, Considering document categories are user defined.

Thank you Juan, let me rephrase my problem again.

I have a Portlet where by am Uploading documents, and those documents are grouped, so 1st i create a group called Invoice and another called Cheque,
So when am uploading my document, 1st choose which group it belongs to, say Invoice then upload the document, after uploading the document it should start invoice workflow, and if someone else uploads another document and choose group cheque, it should start cheque' workflow.

Groups are user defined, e.g someone can choose to create like 10 groups, G1,G2,G3,........ ..... G10, and every document uploaded in each group should trigger group's workflows.

Is it possible to achieve this? am using activiti workflow.
