I don't have access to the reoadmap and release schedule of Liferay Sync. Usually, we get files from pootle and commit them to trunk (portal) on a regular basis (i.e. independently of release dates unless otherwise indicated). The case of Sync may be different due to there are many languages still untranslated, so maybe some future releases of Sync may not contain translations yet.
