New features and Suggestions to make Liferay better #

This is the wiki where Liferay's community writes down its ideas to make the product better. One of the great things about Open Source is to become an active user that participates in the evolution of the project. So, if you have an idea, by all means share it. Here is the process we recommend to make sure you are heard:

Search if that idea has already been proposed in the forum, this wiki or JIRA. If you find it you can add your comments to it. Otherwise keep going.
Suggest your new idea in our forum, within the category: Suggestions and Feature Requests
Add the conclusions of the discussion as a wiki article within Proposals, or append them to an existing article
When asked by one of the core engineers create JIRA tickets to keep track of the work on the feature.
Vote or leave comments on features you want to see

I gathered up all the other pages that the user community created and moved them here. I just want everyone to be clear. Almost none of this are my ideas. I just combed through the forums and gathered up all the posts I could find. Then I combed through JIRA as best I was able to find more stuff. Using that, I tried to consolidate it into some logical categories. Hopefully, this will help the Liferay guys as they start looking at new features to introduce.

I also want to encourage all of you to point out what you find useful - and what you do not find useful.

Leave comments... and use the thumbs to vote comments up and down. More votes makes it more likely the features you want will end up in the next rev.... so.... VOTE....

FYI for anyone else looking for a specific feature, hit the search. It should pop up pretty readily since it is only searching this node of the wiki.

Would it be possible for a user/member to edit their own comments but restrict them from deleting comments made by other users? Perfect example this page.
