hot deploy in tomcat webapps dir? Flat View

Is it possible to deploy portlets in a location other than the auto.deploy.deploy.dir? Can you just drop it into the tomcat/webapps dir?

Yes, it is. You can deploy them in the webapps directory as any other web application

Yes, it is. You can deploy them in the webapps directory as any other web application

Yes, but whenever I've done that, it hasn't registered the app as a portlet; can you still use a webapps dir deployed application as a registered portlet if you deploy it that way?
