Liferay Instances Administration
instance administration management
4/1/08 5:37 AM
Hi,

I would like to know, if there's any improvement on Liferay Instance Administration.
I Know that it was only possible to add a new Instance and could not Edit nor Delete neither.

Is there anything new? Should I open a LEP for this?

I'm asking this, because I need to choose between JBoss Portal and Liferay. And seems that JBoss Portal provides a already working approach for multiple portals in one instance.

Thanks,

I haven't seen a LEP for it yet. You can create it on support.liferay.com. I've seen quite some requests for removing instances earlier.

What is the login info after creating a new instance in 5.2??

I have tried my admin credentials,

user bruno@7cogs.com
pwd bruno

user test@liferay.com
pwd test

and just about every variation but to no avail. I created the new instance but cannnot login... =(

Thanks,

Ryan

Hey Ryan,

The default admin's login should be:

[default.admin.email.address.prefix]@mail.domain

and the password:

[default.admin.password]

So if i create a new instance with mail domain "amos.com" and do not modify those properties, the default admin will be:

test@amos.com/test

Thanks Amos, you are a god send!!!

I could not get it to work for that new instance (which will now me horrible to delete I guess) but I risked it and built another instance and if worked just like you said!
