What is "Structure Inheritance" for CMS? Is it permission inheritance?

Wilson Man

no, that's inheriting structure elements so you don't have to re-add the same elements ...

I hope a JBoss 5.0 bundle will be included when it is released.

This is good news. Does it come with auth.simultaneous.logins re-enabled? I realised it was disabled (deprecated) in the 5.1 version.

"Chat window persistence between pages"

Is there a progress/design for this feature? This is a top request by one of our schools, and I have a developer slated to look at this feature, but would be more than happy to help during development or testing depending on where this item is at.

When is this release planned? Any release date, any tentative deadline???

Will the Glassfish bundles be available?

It means that a company has paid Liferay for the development of this feature

What about social office.

Is that bundled with 5.2 or out-of-box?

Hi Zaheer,

Social Office is its own separate product. However 5.2 will ship with integration with SharePoint protocols as well as a revamped Mail portlet:

thats great , and how about the stability, will it be as stable as version's from 5.1 or more stable and powerful then those.(defenitely it will be more powerful in terms of new features added such as share Point integration and all, just concerned about the stability as we are planning to do our next project on this version).

Private Messaging Portlet: I can't find it. Where can I read more?

Distribute Read / Write operations between two separate databases: Is it possible to configure MySQL Master/Slave instances for that? How is it handled at Hibernate layer?

Dear God, please make it so Liferay can actually provide people with some scrap of documentation for each of their new features. In this case documentation of the "New Browser Sniffing API" would be great.
