Ed has been with Liferay since 2005 and has managed many of Liferay's strategic accounts. His work has included development of enterprise portal strategy, business process analysis, and business process re-engineering. Ed also has extensive experience around the overall design, development, and implementation of internet, intranet, and extranet solutions. Ed joins Liferay with over 12 years of consulting and product management experience. Prior to Liferay, Ed's experience included providing portal solutions to Global 1000 companies. Ed holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Prior to Liferay, Juan was a Liferay consultant and an active member of the community. Juan holds a B.S. in Software Engineering from the University of Seville, Spain.

Within the Danone Information System organization, Cristian Perucchetti has the  eBusiness domain responsibility in the South Western Europe region for the four Danone Group business lines  (Dairy products, Baby nutrition, Medical nutrition and Water).
In his role he has the responsibility of all the IT aspects of the digital and eCRM channels, and together with his team works closely with the different digital marketing teams.
In the past he worked for different digital agencies and consultancy firms in integration and transformation projects for a wide range of industries, from finance to consumer goods.

Massimiliano Zazza is the Director of Application Development and Management Division of general IT group  of the Ministry of Transport and infrastructure.
Graduate degree in mathematics, he has collaborated with the University of Tor Vergata - Centro Vito Volterra in research activities operating in the railway field. He has worked for over 15 years in a local public transport company as IT manager.

Currently he supervises the document dematerialization process inside the Ministry and is in charge of Open Data topic. He is  also in charge of Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) and participated, as a representative of the Ministry, in many national and European projects on monitoring the transport of dangerous goods, as well as the development of the National Telematics Platform ( UIRNET).

  • in  GIS area, he created in collaboration with Poligrafico e Zecca of Italy the publication  "Information System for Soil Protection" ;
    He is the contact for of the of development activities and Cartographic Center of the Ministry, in particular he is in charge of ANS Archivio Nazionale Strade.
  • In Development area , he produced and distributed on behalf of the Ministry, as a consultant of the University "La Sapienza" in Rome and companies such as STA S.p.A., Risorse per Roma S.p.A  a lot of software tools, such as:
  1. Attua99: the monitoring of the operations covered by the law 183/89 ;
  2. QRPM: software for managing DataBase mapping of interventions on mobility;
  3. Observations: management chart of the observations of the Regulation Plan
  4. Bicycle paths: management chart for monitoring the works of construction of cycle paths
  5. GV2: software for the management of the securitization of real estate owned by the municipality of Rome.
  6. BenchMat software for the simulation of " quality control exercise" of building materials for the Technological Innovation Department of Architecture.

Andrea Di Giorgi works as a Software Engineer in the R&D department of SMC TREVISO Srl. He is mainly involved in the design and implementation of Liferay plugins, focusing on the User Experience and the integration of legacy systems and external security mechanisms. His areas of interest include desktop, mobile and Web programming with Java/JEE and the .NET Framework, software architecture and GUI development. For two years he has been a Microsoft Student Partner in the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Padua, Italy. He has a long-standing experience in design and development of enterprise applications for Healthcare organizations. Andrea holds a master's degree in Software Engineering from the University of Padua.

Andrea Funtò has a 15 years long experience in professional software development; he started working on systems management and monitoring products at IBM, where he was also employed as a speaker at international software conferences. Since 2005 he's with Banca d'Italia, where he has designed the first "corporate applications' portal", has been specialising in digital signature solutions for the web and has worked on SAP and Business Intelligence systems. He's the tech lead of the team responsible for the realisation of the "new Intranet" on Liferay.

Andrea is a polyglot programmer, an active contributor to the open source world and is fervently interested in Scrum and team building techniques. He holds a degree cum laude in Electrical Engineering at the University of Rome "La Sapienza".

Experienced JavaScript developer, contributed to Liferay 6.2 and other open source projects, mostly in the Node.js community. During the last years he had the chance to work on large integration projects and to help the birth of the Mobile Team.

Renzo has joined the SMC group at the end of the 80's.

Engineering graduate, during the early 80's, began his adventure in the IT industry, like software developer CAD-CAM in the Olivetti Group

In  SMC, over the years, Renzo plays multiple roles:  software architect CAD-CAM, team leader of Systems and Technology,  product leader of the first web applications (Sales Force Automation, CRM, etc.),  consultant in the Solutions of Business (Verticals and Integrated Solutions).

Renzo becomes senior consultant and project manager in the special projects (Document Management, Business Process Management,  ERP integrated systems, etc.) during the 2000s.

Since the beginning of the collaboration with Liferay, Renzo uses and creates portal solutions, integrated with ERP, DMS, BPM,  applications , aimed at Intranet and Extranet Enterprise Solutions.

Pierpaolo Cira has worked as Software Developer and Architect and System Integrator at the University of Salento for many many eBusiness, knowledge management, eLearning and eTourism research projects, in collaboration with IT worldwide enterprises (Oracle, IBM, etc..) for 11 years.
He collaborated on the design and development for the first SBVR editor.
He also writes technical articles for IT portals.
In the last 4 years he is involved in the design and implementation of enterprise IT architectures and solutions, based on Liferay platform.
Currently he's working at Men At Work as Project Leader on Liferay based systems.
