Have anyone in any way integrate SugarCRM into Liferay portal? We would like to figure out what our options are in terms of integrating or leveraging SugarCRM from within Liferay Portal. If you have done so, can you sum up how you use SugarCRM from within Liferay? Thanks!

Has anyone done a portlet to show information from SugarCRM ?

I would like for example display to the user if he has a new bug report. (SugarCRM has a Bug tracker)

If not, it is possible to do that (access from portlet to SugarCRM) ?

I think the best way to achieving this is through web services
In the Sugar CRM wiki (here) you have info about that.

We are still interested. We put in a tender response for one of our govt department of science & technology which included developing an open source sugar crm OR a crm add-on for liferay. The tender has not been awarded. The department’s contribution to the open source community was a selling point of the tender. Thus if we win this, we will be very interested. If we do not win, we are still interested, but less interested.

I Recently integrate SuiteCRM with Liferay ..

I added one iframe portlet with url http://localhost:8888/SuiteCRM/index.php?action=Authenticate&module=Users&user_name={myusername}&user_password={mypassword}

At runtime we are passing username and password in above link, Now i am trying to integrate ldap where we can have liferay and suiteCRM users and roles.

As I mentioned above, we are not workling on this. We are still awaiting a the response to a tender.
