Embed port inside webcontent

Hello,
I wanted to know is there is a way to embed a portlet inside a web page, especially a div. My webpage has a lot of divs and in it and I was wondering if I could insert a portlet in each of these divs? And the webcontent uses jquery.
What is the best way to do this? I know I can create portlets in Eclipse but can I create Web Content in Eclipse and add portlets in there?

Any help is appreciated.

You can probably consider embedding portlets into a theme or a page layout.
