Welcome to this new Liferay project. I have been working on this project for the last year on my free time and I feel very happy to share it with the Liferay Community from now on.

Let me know if you would like to be part of the team, contribute, use it for your own project or even if you have any ideas for improvement. The code can be forked in github and it would be a real pleasure for me to receive contributions from anyone and develop this project as a team.

Nice to see this thread. I am also working on Facebook Application using liferay portlets.
Liferay and Facebook Integration is very Interesting and very Advance feature.

Hi guys,

I am very happy to see all your answers!

Right now, you can already download the fb-integration plugin from this project, which adds 6 portlets with the facebook social apps. They can be configured as any other liferay portlet.

Facebook Connect is already integrated in Liferay Portal by default.

Which other things did you integrate in your projects? which other things we could add? I was thinking of the Open Graph Protocol as part of the Pages Management.

Hi Julio,

I will be glad to get engaged in the project, but the fist step I guess is to deploy and test the portlets.

We actually use LF 6.0.6 instead of 6.1, so I will try to compile it for the 6.0.6 version.

Hi Jorge,

I am very sorry for the late response, I don't know why but I wasn't notified of this message, sorry about that.

Did you try to use for 6.0.6? It won't compile because it is missing the BaseConfiguration class from 6.1, but we can just copy that class to the plugin for 6.0 and I think the rest should be fine, I can help you with that.

We can create a branch for 6.0 in the project if you are still interested.
