Migrating Sharepoint Lists into Liferay DDLs

We're trying to migrate off of Sharepoint 2003 and I have the task of moving a Sharepoint List (14 column, 5000 entry) into Liferay CE 6.1 GA3 as a Dynamic Data List (DDL). I tried exporting lists in Sharepoint through Powershell, but they come out as .DAT files that way. I know that I can also export as CSV. Liferay offers CSV and XML export of a DDL, but can I turn that around and import either format? I can only find the dialogue to import into a DDL through a LAR file.

Any help or ideas to steer me in the right direction would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
