Web Content Editor Disappearing issue(Very Annoying!)

As can be seen from the screenshots below the web content editor does not appear(web_content_liferay_not_appearing.tiff) but when i refresh the page it appears as normal(web_content_liferay_normal.tiff).Sometimes I have to refresh the page a couple of times before the editor appears.

The below issue happens after a basic install of liferay filled with sample data(with settings schema.run.minimal=false in portal.ext.properties file).To make this clearer i had better say that this happens even before any customization of liferay.

I use the default web content editor set by liferay and am not setting the default editor to anything else in the portal-ext.properties file.

Liferay Version:6.0.6
Server OS:Mac Osx 10.8.5
Application Server:Glassfish 3.0.1
Database : Postgresql(Version 9.2)

I would really like to get this resolved as users are complaining about this so any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated

Hello Michael,
It is actually quite a well known javascript bug for Liferay 6.0.6 CE. I fixed this once by migrating to 6.1.0 But I think there are some patches on the internet, for example in this JIRA issue https://issues.liferay.com/browse/LPS-22864 or in this thread https://www.liferay.com/community/forums/-/message_boards/message/7992784.
