Want opinions about Jboss
Hi All,
I have always used tomcat but recently was reading about jboss's new release. It sounds very interesting. Is anyone using jboss ver. 8? Why should I consider changing to jboss for portal application server?
All opinions are greatly appreciated.
thanks

Hi gordon,
it depends on what Java EE 7 features ar you using and if you want an "easy" way of manage deployments/cluster etc.
If you don't want to worry about scripts for synchronizing cluster deployments etc I would go to Wildfly. Would do the same if you want to use any Java EE feature (EJB, JMS..).

aah the man himself! Thanks Juan for the input. I am looking at running serveral java applications in VMs. Wildfly looks very promising from admin and performance view.
One more thing - does LR run on Wildfly 8?
thanks

There is one opened issue in JIRA about this:
https://issues.liferay.com/browse/LPS-44194
but this user only had problems for auto deploying portlets (hadn't time to test myself):

You can try and maybe we can make it working ;-)
