unable to post new thread

I want my user to post new thread and reply to threads.
I gave all possible permission but the post new thread and reply to post is not appearing.

Can any one please help me.

If you have sufficient user rights, you should see some buttons in the message boards to let you do those things. But you have to be logged in and you have to have rights.

Feel your pain, don't see any add category buttons. I set up 6.0.4 with ldap, got some goofiness of People has no sn etc. like it was mixing up the fields or was not using my mapping in portal-ext so I grabbed the nightly build of 8/10/2010 0:400 and it's all better except when setting the reminder question an exception pops up in Catalina.out of;
