Java 8 Liferay 6.2.10.1 Assest Publisher articles not opening

Hi all,

I am using Java 7 currently for Liferay portal because the Asset Publisher only works having Java 7. With Java 8, the articles show up but when clicked the page just reloads and the article isn't shown. Any ideas of what may be happening?


The current Liferay I use is 6.2.10.1 GA1 SP6.

Edit: I am using Glassfish 4 but want to upgrade to 4.0.1 to fix a bug but that only allows Java 8.

You can refer to the support matrix for a full list of supported versions, but at this time JDK 8 isn't supported.

Liferay 6.2 doesn't support java 8. please check Liferay 6.2 compatibility matrix here.

Liferay 6.2 EE compatibility matrix that you are linking specifies that Java JDK 8 is supported:

• Certified JDK: IBM JDK 7, Oracle JDK 7 and Oracle JRockit JDK 6
• Supported JDK: IBM JDK 6, JDK 8 and Oracle JDK 6
