Hi,

I am trying to configure LDAP with Liferay, I have configured it successfully and LDAP users got created inside the Liferay database, but not 100% of users, it's still missing around some of the of users, where my Import filters are seems to be fine,

please help me, if you have any clues ?

For LDAP configuration using Liferay GUI, i have deifned the LDAP connection but still in server Administration GUI ldap proeprties still shows still the defualt properties which i have portal.properties, Now LDAP Import Interval is also not working where my users are not getting added properyl, so i have a doubt like System takes my GUI LDAP settings or default settings which is in portal.properties file.

Thanks.

You need to add over rides into the portal-ext.properties file. Don't bother with the GUI. It's more of a display than an editor.

Hi Lisa,

we can use the GUI for the LDAP configuration details, How ever it doesnt show in properties tab in server administration, but what ever the value entered in the front end (GUI) overriding the portal.properties value, I have checked the same.

Thanks

You must be on Windows. It certainly doesn't work that way on any of my in Linux installs.

If you have over 1500 users in an LDAP group (or 1000 users under Windows 2000 Server), the problem might have something to do with LPS-4249.

If that's the problem, and you have an active EE subscription, part of the fix is available in 5.1 EE SP4 and 5.2 EE SP2 (the latter just left RC testing and should be available soon). The remainder of the fix may be requested as a patch via your EE account and will be available as part of an EE service pack with the release of 5.1 EE SP5 and 5.2 EE SP3.
