Liferay Recognizes Nortal as a Platinum Partner
Enterprise demand for open source technologies and reliability drives Nortal's implementations of the open source portal provider

FRANKFURT AM MAIN – (MARCH 24, 2015) – Liferay, Inc., which makes enterprise, open source portals, announced that Nortal has achieved Platinum Partner status. Liferay Creative Team Named Merit Winner in Latest In-House Design Awards
Project selected as one of more than 80 award-winning designs from top companies.

LOS ANGELES – (March 10, 2015) – Bikes for Burma, a project developed by the in-house creative team at Liferay, Inc., was chosen as one of more than 89 award-winning designs in the most recent InHouse Design Awards. This highly selective and well-regarded competition, curated by HOW magazine, recognizes outstanding creative work produced by individuals and groups within corporations, associations and organizations.

HOW's crew of judges evaluated more than 1,000 entries and selected winning projects that demonstrated an ideal mix of concept, strategy and execution. Design teams representing major corporations and organizations including United Nations, School of Visual Arts, GM, Wrangler and Food Network were among the winning entries. Submissions were judged by market category (i.e., Technology & Science, Entertainment, Education, Consumer Products, Financial, etc.) and also by how effectively the design achieved the stated business goals.

Liferay Takes Leadership Role in OSGi Alliance for Modular Software Standards
Nomination to Board of Directors underscores Liferay's increased commitment to extensible, easier to manage software

LOS ANGELES – (February 18, 2015) – Liferay, Inc., which makes enterprise, open source portals, today announced that it is now a Strategic Member of the OSGi Alliance and has been voted a seat on the Board of Directors. The announcement comes during Liferay's second year as a member of the worldwide consortium of technology innovators and will give the company representation in both the operations and technical sides of the organization.

Liferay's Senior Software Architect Ray Augé was elected to the OSGi Alliance Board of Directors. Other companies represented on the Board include IBM, Oracle, Salesforce.com, NTT, Adobe, Paremus, ProSyst Software and Software AG. Augé was also selected to co-chair the Enterprise Expert Group, which defines the technical requirements and specifications needed to use the OSGi Service Platform in enterprise business scenarios.

Liferay's expanded role within the OSGi Alliance means greater influence over the direction of OSGi specifications to meet the needs of Liferay customers. The effort also falls in line with the company's long-term investment in modularity. First introduced into the product in Liferay Portal 6.2, OSGi is a framework for developing modular Java applications that will continue to be used and developed in future versions of the platform. Liferay believes the increased componentization of applications into software modules will mean greater value for Liferay users—it will simplify portal implementations, lead to an easier development process to quickly deliver new features, and reduce complexity for maintenance and upgrades.

Liferay verbucht ein weiteres Jahr mit zweistelligem Wachstum
Der führende Anbieter von Enterprise Portal Lösungen verzeichnet eine Steigerung seines Jahresumsatzes von 50%

LOS ANGELES, Kalifornien, USA – (27. Februar 2013) – Im Jahr 2012 verzeichnete Liferay, Inc., weltweiter Anbieter von Enterprise Open Source Portalen, eine Umsatzsteigerung von mehr als 50%, sowie eine kontinuierliche Erweiterung seiner globalen Community. Der Erfolg des letzten Geschäftsjahres basiert zum größten Teil auf neuen Vertragsabschlüssen in den Sektoren der Finanzdienstleistung, des Gesundheitswesens und der öffentlichen Hand.

„Wir freuen uns über ein weiteres erfolgreiches Jahr. Liferay eröffnete im vergangenen Jahr neue Standorte in London, Paris, Tokio und einen weiteren Standort in den USA, um schnell auf die lokale Nachfrage nach Liferay-Produkten und -Dienstleistungen zu reagieren und strategisch wertvolle Partnerschaften auf den lokalen Markt aufzubauen. Die Bandbreite der Liferay-Lösungen ist sehr vielfältig: so wurde zum Beispiel in Großbritannien ein einheitliches Self-Service-Portal für die Verwaltung des London Borough of Camden installiert, in Frankreich Atos Origin als neuer Partner gewonnen und das Team in Asia-Pacific schloss wichtige Verträge mit Kunden aus der Konsumgüter- und Telekommunikationsindustrie.

Auch die Open-Source-Community von Liferay wuchs: in Zahlen und Aktivität. Die in 2011 56.000 Mitglieder starke Community wuchs auf über 75.000 zum Ende des vergangenen Jahres und zählt heute bereits mehr als 80.000 Mitglieder. Im letzten Jahr allein formierten sich über 20 neue User-Gruppen. Dieser Trend unterstreicht den Erfolg des Vorjahres und ist ein weiterer Beweis für eine weltweit verbreitete und breit gefächerte Annahme von Liferays Produkten und Dienstleistungen.
