Liferay Nav Menu in Internet Explorer

Hi Guys,
I'm deploying a basic Liferay setup across our company next week, I've not made many changes as of yet but its a million times better than our current setup. Anyway I have tried the default theme and the wintersky one, and the nav menu that goes across the top of the page has interesting quirks when viewed in IE, like if you stop in between text it'll disappear and things of that nature. This doesn't happen in FF.
Just wondering if anyone has seen similar and fancies sharing a solution.
Cheers
Tom

After a bit more CSS tweaking etc, I can see that infact IE is rendering the portlet titles above the menu that drops down, there by confusing the rollover.
Anyone else seen this?

Tom,
I have used both IE7 and IE8 on Vista and WIndows-7 without seeing any of the items I think you are describing. If you have any more details (or perhaps an attached image or two) it might help.

This may very well depend on which theme is being used. I've seen weird display behavior that seems to be based on the theme.
Some themes display fine, while others have quirks.
Tom should probably indicate what theme is being used.

He did - (quote) Anyway I have tried the default theme and the wintersky one (/quote) I think the more important thing would be to spec the IE version with settings.

Sorry about the delay, yeah it was a winter sky quirk or sorts, I set the z-index for the menu to 999 and it now overlays the portlet titles and buttons.
Cheers
