Sorry for switching to English, but my Spanish is quite bad. Installing Liferay on an iMac is pretty easy:
- Make sure, you have Java installed on your iMac.
- Download a Liferay-Tomcat-Bundle and extract it to a directory of your choice.
- Open your Terminal-Application. Use Spotlight and just start typing Terminal.
- Type in "sh" followed by a Space.
- Drag and drop the startup.sh file from your tomcat-X.XX.X/bin-folder (within the directory you extracted the Liferay-Tomcat-Bundle to) to your Terminal-Application. The path to the startup.sh file is added after "sh ". Press Enter.
- Wait untill Safari opens up and loads http://localhost:8080.
You are now running Liferay using the bundled Tomcat-Server and HSQL-Database.
