Seeking to hire developer to help upgrade from 5.2.2 to 6.1

I wish to hire someone to help me upgrade my Liferay site from 5.2.2 to 6.1.

It is hosted on Omegabit.

Applying the standard upgrade pathway has failed. Multiple Java exceptions result.

It has been attempted by multiple developers (some paid, some volunteer) without success.

My budget for this is about $2000.

I can get you in touch with those who have tried if you want to understand what they understand about what went wrong.

I still am having the hardest time wrapping my head around the fact that a pretty uncomplicated installation of Liferay will require a home-brewed solution or modification of existing solutions to accomplish that upgrade, but that apparently is the case.
