Not able to open the Liferay

I had installed Liferay and it was working fine..
After 2 days I again tried to open it didnt show up anything.
I started the server and then when I locate my browser to localhost:8080/ it only tells me waiting ....waiting....
I dont understand what happened all of a sudden.

I am using 4.3 bundled with Tomcat 5.5
Can any one have comment over this.

Is your computer connected to internet? There was a bug where it was trying to get an update and hanged because of that if the response was taking too much time.
