Control Panel link is not appearing

I have installed Liferay 6.2 plugin along with Tomcat in the Eclipse IDE. I have followed some tutorials online and created a portlet. I want to create a new application. In the tutorial it says go to the Control Panel. I don't see the Control Panel link at all. I have created the login when I first installed Liferay. I believe that has admin rights. When I go my profile, it just says 'Power User'. Where am I going wrong?

Try append the group/control_panel in the URL after authentication . like -- http://localhost:8080/group/control_panel.

Thanks. It is resolved now. I didn't log in as an administrator.
