Liferay Integration with Tivoli Access Manager (TAM) for Enterprise SSO

Hi,
I want to authenticate liferay app using "TAM for Enterprise SSO". Even after doing a lot of web search I am unable to find a proper documentation for the same.
Has anyone over here done this ? Can you provide some guidance about how to achieve this ?
We want the authentication to be done using LDAP (via TAM of course).

Did you solved problem of Liferay <> Tiveoli SSO integration? I am looking for similar solution.

You can front Liferay with TAM and have TAM provide a header with the username of the authenticated user. Then in Liferay you can enabled SiteMinder and change the default user header from SM_USER to what ever TAM provides. You can also enable LDAP import.

I think one of our engineers did this. I think Mika's reply gives the overall view of what needs to be done.

Several people have successfully setup TAM with the tip I provided above. The same tip applies to many other SSO software that use headers to pass in the authenticated user info. Don't make it more complex than it has to be.

Is it necessory to have TAM user in Liferay? I mean can user login without having it in Liferay DB?

The user needs to be created in Liferay.

Hi Mika,
May I have detailed steps on this process to Integrate Liferay with TAM for authentication and then reading the SAML assertion and redirecting user to the page based on the Liferay role.
