Chat portlet in 5.1.2

Hi,

We would really like to use chat portlet in 5.1.2. Is there a step by step instruction or documentation on how to go about achieving it.

I think that there is an old version of the chat portlet in the repository that will work on older versions of Liferay

How to Add the Chat Portlet

I wrote this blog post a year ago for 5.1.1, but it should still appl y to 5.1.2.

In 5.2.0-5.2.3, the chat portlet is bundled with the portal, so there no need to install it.

I had seen your blog post before. i had tried to do exactly as you mentioned. After some hiccups it did start to display in bottom left side. But the problem is it always show Chat(0) even if users are logged in. My buddy preference is set to all.

hi sandeep,

i have tried earlier with all versions. chat-portlet 5.1.1.3 with portal 5.1.1 works fine. and same does not work with 5.1.2 . No other chat portlet versions also not available. (next is 5.2.x). Many have suggested modifications in forum but none got succeeded.

I am also facing the same problem integration of chat portlet in Liferay 5.1.2 .

Please help how to integrate the chat portlet in 5.1.2 and which version of chat portlet is compatable with 5.1.2

I think none of the chat portlets are compatible to 5.1.2 . I tried many a tweakings to make it start but in vain.
