Liferay uses Local Storage (LS) such as HTML5 to store content information and preferences. Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on our site or to display advertising based upon your Web browsing activity use LS such as HTML 5 to collect and store information.
Analytics / Log Files
As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, the files viewed on our site (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

Liferay will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Each participant's opinion within a forum or chat room is his or her own and does not reflect the opinion of Liferay. We display testimonials of customers on our site in addition to other endorsements. Such testimonials may include personal quotes along with the person's name. If you wish to update or delete a testimonial or your personal quote, you can contact us at email@example.com.
The profile you create on our site will be publically accessible unless otherwise indicated. You may change the privacy settings of your profile through your account portal.

For example we use SourceForge.net for the download of our products and we also provide links to partners and clients on our website.
