Hi All
i have came across a peculiar situation regarding text field validation.
i have a text filed with placeholder ..........<aui:input type="text" id="id1" name="myName" placeholder="Search " inlineLabel="true" label="">
now the problem is that if i use aui validation it is not working in mozila firefox but it is working in google chorme...( i am checking for empty text filed ).
in mozila instead of getting empty value it is getting placeholder value. but in chrome it is getting empty value. so how do i do this i serched for online solution but didn't get any solution
Thanks for the reply.................

I'm guessing this is probably due to our placeholder support that we added so that Firefox would use the placeholder attribute. Firefox 31 and later support the placeholder attribute, but before that it was needed for us to set the value in order to get that behavior.
I'm not sure which version of Firefox you're on, but that may be the issue.
Do you know which version of Firefox you're on?
