How to share pages across communities, that is, I created complex pages on a community and we would like to show these specific pages on another community.
Is it possible? The feature export/import copy all the pages of community.
I am using Liferay Portal Standard Edition 5.2.3 (Augustine / Build 5203 / May 20, 2009)
Thanks in advance for your attention and support,
Lorena

Is this something where you could just create a page of type "URL" and have it point to the page in the other community?

Brian,
Answering your question: No, my pages has portlets (specific of SLA). not a URL
I really would like to know if it is possible to share pages, because on those specific pages there are information requested to many "communities" . The main reason I don't want to duplicate pages is the maintenance of those pages.
Thanks,
Lorena

Have a look at this older post.
In cases similar to yours we organise hierarchy of communities/groups, where pages common to several groups are located in the 'parent' group.
For example, department has many project teams, everyone in a department has access to 'department' group/community, then each person may belong to one or more project-specific groups.
How to show/navigate to those pages is a matter of your specific context and usability.

Hi Victor, thanks for your complete answer.I read the old post, and I learned a lot.
I added 2 figures to show my real problem, that I want to solve sharing 2 pages. Could you see and let me know if it is possible and how to do?
Thanks again for your support and attention
Best regards,
Lorena

By the way, I am thinking about a workaround to help me:
How to copy and paste pages between communities?
Please, I don't want to copy communities, I want to copy select pages.
Thanks in advance for support,
best regards,
Lorena

Hi Lorena
It's quite hard to make judgement of how you should organize access to your informational hierarchy. There is a lot of ways of doing it:
- deploying additional navigational portlets
- modifying your look-and-feel theme
- playing with communities/organisations permissions, roles
- creating virtual hierarchy, etc
How to do it, depends on what type of Liferay skills your team has.
However, probably the last thing you would want to do is to make multiple copies of the same content, whether this is a page or community. This would represent a perfect candidate for a maintenance nightmare, even if on the surface such approach looks like a perfect and easy solution.
But maybe you have specific circumstances or very static pages (which are never going to be modified).

if you are using Liferay 6.x.x you can also use the global content space, and make use of pages templates.
