I am new to Liferay and am looking for a way to display documents and media based on the site's language. For example, if there is an end of year report in both English and Spanish, I want the portal displaying these reports to only offer the English one when the language is en_ and the Spanish version when the site switches to es_.

Is there a way to do this out of the box, or am I going to have to write some kind of hook for either the Asset Publisher and/or Documents and Media portlets? I am pretty sure I can figure out a way to do this with some customized code, but if there is already a way that Liferay provides to solve this problem, I figured I should check first before diving in to the code.

Just use the Web Content portlet and enter English and Spanish contents.

I was wondering about whether I could do this with documents, not content. I would hoping for something like two Word documents, one for a report in English, and one for a report in Spanish. The correct report would be served by the Asset Publisher based on the user's locale.

The only way now is to create a different folder for each language.
