Is aui:validator supported in aui:select?

aui:validator works fine with aui:input but when used inside aui:select it throws null pointer exception.

I am using Liferay Portal Community Edition 6.1.0 CE GA1

With reference to the issue LPS-9614 the support has been added.

Happens to me too. . seems like you need to add some custom javascript.. which seems to defeat the purpose of a simple taglib validation..
