The new portal geenraly works but in several places error (or similar) happens:

Current URL /group/control_panel/null generates exception: null

This particular error occures at Control Panel-->Server-->Portal Instances. Than You can enter any portal instance (at the start we have only one: liferay.com) and just try to exit pressing Cancel button.

Similar error occures in other places. E.g. Message boards does not work (unable to create new category etc).

The same effect happened when I tried to upgrade my Liferay 5.23 to 6.05 running on IBM DB2.

No such errors happens when deploying Liferay on MySQL database.

I use exactly the same configuration and DB2 jdbc drivers I used when working with Liferay Portal 5.23.

Try modifying the redirect.url.ips.allowed property in your portal-ext.properties file to include your ip or just set it to blank

redirect.url.ips.allowed=

Yes but with partial success so far. Are you still facing the issue or is this sorted out?

Hasn't Gordon's advice solved this issue. If not, is there error still in Liferay 6.1.0? Is so, please post the error messages.
