End of Life
Subscribers purchasing a Liferay Commerce subscription will benefit from a full enterprise-grade End of Life ("EOL") policy (also referred to as End of Service Life ("EOSL") policy) in accordance with their subscription level.
Liferay Commerce is distributed via the Liferay Help Center.
End of Life for Liferay Commerce
The Premium Support Phase for a Major or Minor Version of Liferay Commerce shall be four (4) years from its First Ship Date. During the Premium Support Phase, subscribers will be provided:
- full support, in accordance with a subscriber's respective subscription level, with up to 24x7, 365 day service levels;
- access to the Liferay's Help Center and customer knowledge base;
- access to all upgrades of the Liferay Commerce; and
- security alerts and critical updates.
After the end of Liferay Commerce’s Premium Support Phase, Liferay Commerce will enter the Limited Support Phase for up to three (3) additional years. During the Limited Support Phase, subscribers will be provided:
- support, in accordance with a subscriber's respective subscription level, with up to 24x7, 365 day service levels;
- access to the Liferay's Help Center and customer knowledge base;
- access to all upgrades of the Liferay Commerce; and
- security alerts and critical updates.
- Liferay Support will direct customers to existing workarounds and customer knowledge base.
- Liferay Support may direct customers to upgrade to a more current version/release of the product to receive appropriate fixes.
Definitions
Liferay Commerce refers to the the components of the core Liferay Commerce product.
First Ship Date means the date on which Liferay first makes available, for license or sale, a Major Version or Minor Version of Liferay Commerce.
End of Life means the date on which Liferay ceases to provide Software Maintenance for a Major Version or Minor Version of Liferay Commerce.
Major Version means a change in the first digit of the version number. This means major changes in architecture, APIs (as part of the deprecation process), or internal schema, as well as changes in functionality, new features, and bug fixes. Customizations may be affected when installing. Customers should leverage the upgrade tools and documentation.
Minor Version means a change in the second digit of the version number. This means minor changes in architecture, APIs (as part of the deprecation process), or internal schema, as well as changes in functionality, new features, and bug fixes. Customizations may be affected when installing. Customers should leverage the upgrade tools and documentation.
