We’re honored to be recognized again as a Leader in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms. This inclusion extends Liferay’s record as the only 11-time Leader since the report’s inception.
In the report, Gartner defines a digital experience platform (DXP) as:
“A well-integrated and cohesive set of technologies designed to enable the composition, management, delivery and optimization of contextualized digital experiences across multiexperience customer journeys.” Additionally, a DXP “provides the presentation orchestration that binds together capabilities from multiple applications to form seamless digital experiences'' for consumers, partners, employees, and more across their entire journey.
11-Time Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant
For 11 times, Liferay has been recognized as a Leader in both Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms and its predecessor, the Magic Quadrant for Horizontal Portals.
“It is an honor to be recognized as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms for over a decade,” said Ed Chung, Vice President of Global Product Management at Liferay. “We believe this placement validates our focus on enabling organizations to deliver rich authenticated experiences. Liferay’s product portfolio equips organizations to automate manual processes and quickly deliver engaging digital experiences to customers, partners, and employees through a single, unified platform.”
What Makes This DXP Different
We believe that Gartner has recognized Liferay as a Leader on account of a number of distinctions, including these three key capabilities:
1.Strength in Integration
We believe that organizations should be able to utilize technology that best fits their business and user needs. Because of this, Liferay DXP was developed to be a flexible platform, with a deep bench of APIs and connectors, to allow businesses to easily manage a myriad of systems through a single, unified platform.
2. Fit for Complex B2B and B2E Scenarios
Businesses that need to deliver excellent authenticated experiences can rely on Liferay’s out-of-the-box features that have been designed to support B2B and B2E use cases. As the only portal heritage vendor in the report, Liferay is uniquely suited to provide the functionality needed to solve these complex business challenges.
3. Low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
Liferay’s unique subscription-based pricing model allows customers to deliver rich, digital experiences at lower TCO and without the fear of vendor lock-in.
Additionally, as just one of two open source vendors in the DXP Magic Quadrant, Liferay is able to pass on several benefits to customers. Access to a global developer community of over 200,000 allows us to rapidly deliver new product functionality while saving on development costs, passing that functionality and savings on to our customers.
